Job Mission

To develop innovative and high-quality products for vacuum automation is key for our success as a global leader in gripping and moving solutions. As a Design Engineer, you work with all relevant design tasks throughout the product development process, with responsibility for concept development and implementation. You follow the product through its life cycle, maintaining the system and backing up the Piab stab with whatever technical information needed.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanics for vacuum automation products
  • Be part of product development projects
  • Create drawings and other product documentation, and store in PLM system
  • Plan, execute and evaluate design tests, including develop and build test equipment needed
  • Discuss technical solutions with suppliers to ensure product quality and producibility
  • Keep up to date with new technology in areas such as production methods, product functionality, materials, etc.
  • Supporting other departments with technical info needed for them to run at full speed.
  • Keep track of legal requirements and regulations affecting our business.

Required Qualifications

This section focuses on the “minimum” level of qualifications for an individual to be productive and successful in this role.

  • Master or Batchelor of science in mechanical engineering
  • Good skills in 3D-modelling (preferably Solid Works)
  • Fluent English
  • Common Office/ PC-knowledge
